People diagnosed with cancer and their families often need extra support. Patients at the Crozer Regional Cancer Center have access to the expertise of a medical social worker to assist with a wide variety of problems that can accompany a cancer diagnosis. The social worker can help with such issues as counseling, financial concerns and health insurance questions. In addition to counseling, social workers have extensive knowledge about resources in the community and can assist with medications, prosthesis, transportation, homemaker services, nursing homes, support groups, and legal and financial concerns.
