Medical Oncology
The medical oncologists at Delaware County Regional Cancer Center use an ever-expanding variety of approaches to cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy.
Radiation Oncology
About half of all the people who develop cancer receive radiation therapy at some time during their illness. Radiation therapy can be used to cure the cancer or to relieve disturbing symptoms and improve quality of life. Two of the most significant recent advances, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and brachytherapy (seed implants), are available at Delaware County Regional Cancer Center. In addition, Crozer-Keystone is also affiliated with Philadelphia CyberKnife® in Havertown, where robotic radiosurgery is performed on tumors throughout the body.
