Having a mammogram is an important step in safeguarding your health. It is the most reliable tool for detecting breast cancer early, before symptoms appear—often before a breast lump can be felt. Early detection of breast cancer is the first and most important step toward successful treatment of this disease. So talk with your doctor about when you should begin having regular mammograms.
