Screenings are offered throughout the year at Crozer-Keystone Health System hospitals, including free colorectal (usually in March), prostate (usually in September), skin and oral cancer screenings (usually in May/June). School education programs provide cancer education to many schools in our area. Information about risk factors, screening recommendations and self-examination is offered to high school students. Adult education programs are offered to a variety of audiences on cancer-related topics. The Freedom from Smoking smoking cessation program is offered at Crozer-Keystone hospitals and at corporations in the surrounding community. Boasting a 60 percent success rate, Freedom from Smoking has been instrumental in helping people quit smoking. Working with Delaware County schools, Crozer-Keystone also participates in a range of smoking cessation programs aimed at teens.
