Designed to help you in your new role as a mother at home, the Home Care Department provides nursing care at home for you, your newborn and your family. Your physician or midwife arranges for visits to be made 24 to 72 hours after leaving the hospital. A visit from one of our specially trained maternity home care nurses may include premature and well-baby check-ups; phototherapy for jaundice; breastfeeding counseling; emotional support; community referrals for special needs and 24-hour on-call nurse availability.
