Top-rate medical care is just one part of a memorable maternity stay. That’s why we’ve put together special services that make your childbirth experience everything you've dreamed it would be. Services offered vary by site.
Papa Pagers
For dads and support persons anticipating the big event, a pager service is available to help families stay in touch when it’s time for the birth event.
Baby Photographer
A baby photographer is available daily to capture those precious first hours after birth.
Snack Service
Moms don’t deliver babies on a routine time schedule and, chances are, you’ll be hungry between regular mealtimes. We offer a special snack service to keep you energized until mealtime.
Newborn Television Channel
Television programming on baby care and postpartum topics is available for viewing in your patient room, 24 hours a day.
Nurse Educator
Each family is given individualized education on issues that they may face after they bring their baby home. This education is done by highly trained maternity nurses.
Smoke Detector and Baby Photo Album
In addition to the unique gift pack of mementos and baby items you will receive from The Maternity Center, every family who delivers a baby at Crozer or DCMH receives a free smoke detector for their baby’s room. We also give you a small photo album to preserve your baby’s most memorable moments.
Keep in Touch Phone Call
Soon after you bring your new baby home, you may receive a telephone call from a specially trained nurse. Many parents appreciate getting a friendly phone call and look forward to the opportunity to ask questions about feeding, sleep schedules or other issues that come up once your baby goes home.
WebNursery
Crozer and DCMH offer new parents access to the WebNursery, an online announcement service that helps to spread the word about the birth of your new baby (or babies!) with friends and family from around the world. This free, optional service announces your baby’s first name and last initial, height, weight, date of birth and time of birth. You can even include a photograph, and choose to password-protect your baby’s webpage on the WebNursery.
