Springfield, Pa. – Join James McGlynn, M.D., and Raymond Wolfe, M.D., orthopedic surgeons with the Crozer-Keystone Human Motion Institute, for an informative lecture, “Causes of and Treatment Options for Shoulder Pain.” The presentation is scheduled for Friday, December 2, at 1 p.m. at the Marple Public Library, 2599 Sproul Road, Broomall, Pa. Light refreshments will be served.

The shoulder is the most movable joint in the body. Yet while it provides a remarkable range of motion, it sacrifices stability for range, thus opening the door to shoulder joint problems. If you suffer from shoulder pain, you are not alone. According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, about 4 million Americans seek medical care each year for shoulder problems.

In their presentation, Drs. McGlynn and Wolfe will discuss the structure of the shoulder and the origins of shoulder problems. They will also provide explanations of some of the most common causes of shoulder pain, including arthritis, dislocation, “frozen shoulder,” impingement, rotator cuff injury, and tendonitis.

The doctors will also discuss how today’s treatment options, including medication and arthroscopic surgical procedures, can treat shoulder pain and provide a quicker recovery than in past years.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with these renowned Crozer-Keystone Human Motion Institute orthopedic surgeons. For more information or to register, call 1-800-CK-HEALTH (1-800-254-3258).
