SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – The Senior Wellness Program of the Crozer-Keystone Health System has scheduled a variety of fun and exciting programs for area seniors during the month of December.
· Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Springfield Hospital and Taylor Hospital offer free blood pressure screenings every week.

· The Senior Wellness Bowling League meets every Tuesday from noon-2:30 p.m. at Conchester Lanes. Cost is $7 (includes shoes, three games and refreshments). Call (610) 485-5220.
· CKHS offers the 55 Alive Driving Program, a two-day, eight-hour driving safety course that can help you improve your driving skills and save you money on insurance. Courses will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Friday, Dec. 8, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. at the Healthplex® Sports Club at Springfield Hospital; and on Friday, Dec. 15, and Monday, Dec. 18, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. in room 306 of the Silberman Center, located on the campus of Crozer-Chester Medical Center. · The CKHS Dining at Dusk program has planned the following presentations for area seniors:
· Tips for Successful Aging, presented by William Zirker, M.D., chairman of the Department of Geriatrics at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Thursday, Dec. 14, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is free (includes entrée, two sides, drink, coffee and dessert). Event also includes free bone density evaluations and blood pressure screenings. Scheduled mammograms will also be available, subject to the requirements of your insurance carrier (may incur an expense).
· Keeping Your Holiday Memories Alive, presented by Barbara Alexis Looby, administrative director of CKHS Senior Health Services. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 5-7 p.m., Taylor Hospital Cafeteria. Cost is $5.30 plus tax (includes entrée, drink and free parking).
· Senior Idol Finale. Thursday, Dec. 21. Dinner will be served from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Café Carl at Springfield Hospital, followed by the Senior Idol Finale from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Healthplex® Sports Club. Cost is $5.30 plus tax (includes entrée, drink, dessert and free parking).
