CHESTER – The Fraternal Order of Eagles State Auxiliary-West Chester 1720 recently awarded a $275 grant from its Golden Eagle Fund to Community Hospital’s Behavioral Health program to support the purchase of materials for clients in the program.
The grant will be used help offset the cost of materials clients use to identify and cope with symptoms. Specifically, the grant will reduce the price of workbooks clients use during therapy to treat past sexual trauma and post stress disorders. During the treatment process and after the completion of therapy, the workbook serves as a reference to reinforce positive behaviors and coping strategies.
Community Hospital is contracted with the Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health to provide services for people ranging from preschool children to geriatric patients.
Lillian Myers from the Fraternal Order of Eagles State Auxiliary presented the grant to Terri Venello, R.N., director of Adult/Geriatric Mental Health at Community, and Stephen Simminger, director of Outpatient Mental Health Programs at Community.
