Kevin Caputo, M.D., presents Growen Hunt with Community Hospital's Employee of the Year Award.

In an all-campus election, Community Hospital employees voted Growen “Missy” Hunt of Brookhaven as the 2005 Employee of the Year. Hunt received the honor during a recent employee service awards ceremony at the Springfield Country Club.

Hunt is the office coordinator in the Drug and Alcohol Assessment Center at Community Hospital. She has worked for the health system for nearly 10 years and was Community’s employee of the quarter for the second quarter of 2005.

“Missy demonstrates an empathetic and understanding attitude toward patients and their families. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help a peer or patient,” says Tracey Carpentier, the resource coordinator for the Behavioral Health department at Community. “Missy also displays a high degree of pride in her work and encourages co-workers to work at the same level.”
