UPLAND, Pa. – In an all-campus election, Crozer-Chester Medical Center employees voted nurse Kathy Deegan, R.N., of Media as the 2005 Employee of the Year. Deegan received the honor during a recent employee service awards ceremony at the Springfield Country Club.
Deegan, a nurse on the 2 South unit of the medical center, was the December employee of the month for Crozer. She has worked for Crozer for two years.
“Without exception, Kathy Deegan always goes the extra mile. She will do anything to meet the needs of her patients. She is organized, conscientious, dependable and a very hard worker. She is always willing to work extra shifts when needed. She loves caring for our oncology patients and works in the cancer center on her ‘days off,’” says Diane Beatty, R.N., nurse manager on the 2 South unit.
“Kathy epitomizes the best in customer service skills and is loved by all of her patients,” Beatty adds.
