RIDLEY PARK, Pa. – Bring the whole family to Ridley High School on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., for Ridley Health Awareness Day, an annual offering of fun, free health screenings, information, kids’ activities and much more.
Sponsored by Taylor Hospital, the Ridley Township Board of Commissioners, the Taylor Community Foundation and the Ridley School District, Ridley Health Awareness Day will include screenings such as blood pressure, body mass index, cardiac risk assessments, cholesterol/glucose, general vision, hearing, foot and ankle, pulmonary function and osteoporosis.
The event will also feature special “Ask the Doctor” tables; exhibits on Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), nutritional supplements, weight management, anxiety and stress relief, and more; and information from a variety of Crozer-Keystone departments, such as Allied Health Education, Behavioral Health, Bike Safety, Breast Health, Burn Center, Cancer Prevention and Treatment, Community Health Education, Congregational Nursing, Diabetes, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention, Emergency Services, Healthplex® Sports Club, Healthy Start, Human Motion Institute, Medicare Part D, Senior Health Services, Sleep Disorders Center, Tobacco Cessation, and Women’s HeartAdvantage.
Kids in attendance can enjoy free entertainment programs and check out a real ambulance. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
