Local residents who attended “Signs, Symptoms and Treatments for Heart Disease,” a special Dining at Dusk presentation by Edward LaPorta, M.D., chief of the Section of Cardiology at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, learned this and other important facts during the presentation on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006.
During his presentation, Dr. LaPorta explained why heart disease is so prevalent among Americans and the risk factors that increase a person’s risk factors for developing the condition. He also spoke about the symptoms of heart disease and what treatment options patients diagnosed with the disease can expect.
