Crozer Honored for Excellence in Organ Transplant Conversion

Crozer-Chester Medical Center was one of 20 hospitals from the area serviced by Gift of Life, a nonprofit organ procurement organization covering the Delaware Valley, to be recognized recently for excellence in family care and outstanding rates of organ donation.

 

At the National Learning Congress in Nashville, Tenn. in October, award-winning hospitals were presented with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Medal of Honor for achieving a conversion rate of 75 percent in a 12-month period. Additionally, Crozer was one of 12 of the 20 local hospitals that received special recognition for achieving a 75-percent rate for three consecutive years.
