Dana Breslin, Esq., center, is congratulated on winning the Senior Service Excellence Award by Crozer-Keystone Senior Health Services Administrative Director Barbara Alexis Looby, right, and Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging Director Louis Colbert.
DREXEL HILL, Pa. – Crozer-Keystone Health System’s Senior Health Services Department presented Dana McBride Breslin, Esq., with its fourth-annual “Senior Service Excellence Award” on May 4, 2007 at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.
The Senior Service Excellence Award honors an individual who has had an impact on the aging community in Delaware County. In more than 32 years as an elder law attorney, she has perfectly embodied the philosophy of Crozer-Keystone Health System’s Senior Health Services Department, which is “to meet the needs of the senior community with respect and dignity to enhance quality of life.”
A 1975 graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Ms. Breslin started her career with Delaware County Legal Assistance Agency, where she was instrumental in developing and eventually managing the Senior Citizen Unit. Since 1985, she has been employed with the law firm of Pappano and Breslin, where she continues to focus on the legal needs of seniors in the community. She is a fellow of the American College of Trustee and Estate Counselors, a member of the National Academy of Elder Law attorneys, and former chair of the Elder Law section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Health Law Project, the Delaware County Estate Planning Council, Horizons Unlimited and Senior Community Services.
A frequent lecturer on the topic of Elder Law, Ms. Breslin has been named a “super lawyer” by the state of Pennsylvania for the past five years and will be featured as one of the state’s Top 50 Attorneys in the June edition of Philadelphia Magazine. She has logged countless hours of pro bono work for older residents in Delaware County.
As one colleague notes, “Dana is the best of the best. She is a trailblazer.” Another adds, “Dana is always so kind, thoughtful and caring as she assists elderly persons with numerous problems. As busy as she is, she always makes herself available to seniors.”
The Senior Service Excellence Award was presented to Ms. Breslin at the County Office of Services for the Aging’s John F. Bauer Professional Symposium. |
