UPLAND – The Crozer Regional Cancer Center will soon present “Facing the Challenge,” a free eight-week workshop for women with breast cancer.
The workshop will begin on Tuesday, March 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor terrace room of the Crozer Regional Cancer Center. It will continue every Tuesday for the following seven weeks at the same time.
The workshop will cover a range of topics to help women with breast cancer lead full, productive lives. Among the topics to be covered include:

Surgery and the recovery period

Understanding radiation therapy

Taking the fear out of chemotherapy

The surgical approach to reconstruction

Maintaining an active lifestyle during treatment

Family issues: Communication, relationships and sexuality

Looking good: Personal appearance enhancement

Women’s unique concerns: Dealing with hormonal changes

A healthy approach to foods, vitamins and herbs

Is it in the genes?
