Healthplex Sports Club Wellness
Professional to Present Lecture
about 'Keeping Active
with Arthritis'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 2007

MEDIA - Erin Maitland, wellness coach with the Healthplex® Sports Club, will present an informative lecture, “The Benefits – and the Joys – of Keeping Active with Arthritis,” on April 19 at 2 p.m. at Media Presbyterian Church, 30 E. Baltimore Ave., Media.

According to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis is a group of more than 100 medical conditions that affects 46 million adults and 300,000 children in the United States. Arthritis symptoms include inflammation, pain, and stiffness.

Maitland will describe how different forms of arthritis – including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis – affect the body and exercise. She will also outline the benefits on exercising with arthritis, which include not only the relief of symptoms and improved flexibility and range of motion, but also increased energy, strength, and weight loss. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with an experienced Healthplex® wellness coach and personal trainer.

As the region's premier health club, the Healthplex® Sports Club offers state-of-the-art facilities for all of your fitness and wellness needs; an experienced staff; a range of special programs and leagues for people of all ages; and convenient personal services.
