Drexel Hill, Pa. – L. William Kay II was recently elected to the Delco Memorial Foundation Board of Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kay owns and operates the Drexelbrook Community, which consists of residential apartments, a shopping strip, banquet and conference center.
A successful businessman, Mr. Kay also places strong emphasis on family and giving back to the community. He and his wife, Brit, have 22 grandchildren, and supports many charitable organizations both with his time and financial resources.
When Mr. Kay was invited to Delaware County Memorial Hospital to learn about the construction of a new Emergency Department and Critical Intensive Care Unit, he saw a need that he didn’t even know existed and wanted to help. Because he believes that hospitals are a very important asset within a community, Mr. Kay wanted to be a part of the effort to ensure that the best possible health care would be available to those who live and work in Delaware County and beyond, and graciously made a leadership gift to the hospital’s fund-raising campaign.
