Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH), both part of the Crozer-Keystone Health System, will again host Cancer Survivors Day celebrations on Thursday, May 29.
The Crozer event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Clark Auditorium of the hospital, One Medical Center Boulevard in Upland, with a reception to follow in the Crozer Regional Cancer Center. The DCMH event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Conference Center of the hospital, 501 N. Lansdowne Ave. in Drexel Hill, with a reception to follow in the Delaware County Regional Cancer Center.
The public is invited to these free events, which annually attract hundreds of cancer survivors and their family members. Cancer Survivors Day is an annual celebration of life held in communities throughout North America. Participants unite in this symbolic event to honor the millions of people who are surviving their cancer diagnosis and who demonstrate that cancer survivors are active and productive members of society.
At both celebrations, physicians will talk about the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment, and local survivors will tell emotional and inspirational stories about their battle with cancer. In addition, at both events, awards will be presented to individuals and corporations who support Crozer-Keystone’s fight against cancer. Following the program, attendees can enjoy refreshments and speak with physicians at receptions inside the cancer centers.
Once again, Crozer’s event is generously sponsored by AstraZeneca.
Attendees are encouraged to register by calling 1-800-CK-HEALTH (1-800-254-3258).
