Drexel Hill, Pa. – Turning over a new year is always exciting, but 2008 holds significance for Delaware County Memorial Hospital. DCMH rang in the new year with the county’s first baby.
At 1:06 a.m. on Jan. 1, Samah Mohamed of Upper Darby gave birth to her fourth child, son Abdglil Mohamed. Abdglil weighed in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches in length.
At 10:07 a.m. the same day at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Latisha Carr gave birth to daughter Saniyah. Baby Saniyah weighed 5 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 18 inches in length. She was Crozer’s first baby of 2008.
Both moms received a complimentary gift from Debbie Snyder, special promotions coordinator for the Babies ’R Us store at 770 Baltimore Pike in Springfield. Debbie visited each hospital to congratulate the new moms and present each a basket full of gifts and supplies for them and their baby. The basket contained a variety of valuable merchandise, including clothing, blankets, bibs, and personal care necessities.
