to Offer Free, Informative Heart
Day Events

SPRINGFIELD - This February, show your heart a little love by visiting a Heart Day celebration at a Crozer-Keystone hospital. Free cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings, as well as informational displays and activities, will be offered to help you learn all you can about your heart.

 

Details of all four events:  

  • Monday, Feb. 11, 8-11 a.m., at Springfield Hospital, 190 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, in the Main Lobby. The event will include free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings; information on improving heart health and quality of life; educational activities; and interactive demonstrations. Snow date: Feb. 18, 8-11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Taylor Hospital, 175 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, in Classrooms A, B and C. The event will include free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings; a cooking demonstration; and informational tables from a variety of CKHS departments. Snow date: Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 14, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, One Medical Center Boulevard, Upland, in the Clark Center Lobby. The event will include free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings and heart-related information from a variety of CKHS departments. Snow date: Feb. 20, 8-11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 20, 9 a.m. to noon, at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, 501 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill, in Meeting Rooms A and C and the 1st floor hallway. The event will feature free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings; information on heart health from a variety of departments; and a healthy snack. Snow date: Feb. 27, 9 a.m.-noon

Please note that cholesterol screenings will be held from 8-10 a.m. at each site. Fasting is required; nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before the test.
