UPLAND - It’s a fact: most people try to quit smoking 5 to 7 times before they become smoke-free. To help those who want to stop smoking, Crozer-Keystone Health System’s Community Health Education department is sponsoring a “Clear the Air” smoking cessation program.
This six-session group program is offered free of charge through funds provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health in collaboration with the Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health. The program uses a positive behavioral change approach that teaches participants to become non-smokers for life. Free nicotine replacement therapy (nicotine patches and gum) may be available to those who qualify.
An orientation meeting for the “Clear the Air” program will be held at the following location and time:
· Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Silberman Center, One Medical Center Boulevard in Upland.
For more information about this program, or to sign up, contact Crozer-Keystone’s Community Health Education department at (610) 447-6009.
