Temporary Outpatient Entrance Created at
Crozer-Chester Medical Center
Due to New Construction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 2008

UPLAND - Crozer-Chester Medical Center has begun a construction project to create a more attractive and patient-friendly entrance to outpatient services as well as a covered “link” that will connect the Upland Avenue Garage to the entrance to the Emergency Department.

Because of this project, Crozer has temporarily changed how patients will enter the medical center for outpatient services such as radiology (CT, MRI, mammography, etc.) and Outpatient Registration. Signage will be posted along the way to get you to your location.

Patients and visitors coming to Crozer for outpatient services can access the Upland Avenue garage via Upland Avenue, the road that runs right in front of the medical center. Parkers should turn onto East Drive and follow signs into the entrance of the garage. The first 45 minutes are free, and fees range from $3 to a maximum of $6 for a 24-hour period. Frequent visitors can purchase discount coupons.

Because of construction, the North Entrance has been closed temporarily. Therefore, patients and visitors should enter Crozer-Chester Medical Center through the Emergency Department walk-in entrance. This entrance has a large red “Emergency” sign above it. Once inside the Emergency Department lobby, turn left and proceed through the temporary entrance into the medical center. Signs will be posted to help patients and visitors along the way.

Once inside the medical center, patients and visitors should follow the signs and color-coded markings on the walls to access the appropriate services you are looking for.

Patients and visitors who may need to access services in the Professional Office Buildings I and II and/or the Ambulatory Care Pavilion may find it more convenient to park in Garage II, located at the end of Medical Center Boulevard. Additionally, valet service is available at the entrance to the Professional Office Buildings. There is no additional charge for valet service, and parkers do not have to tip the attendants. The first 45 minutes are free, and fees range from $3 to a maximum of $6 for a 24-hour period. Frequent visitors can purchase discount coupons.
