Erica Walker Named DCMH's
2007 Employee of the Year

FOR IMMEDIATE RELASE
June 2008

Erica Walker, member of the Environmental Services department, has been selected as the 2007 Employee of the Year for Delaware County Memorial Hospital.

Erica has been a member of the DCMH family since July 2001. She was Employee of the Month in April 2007, and was nominated for this honor by 22 people. Erica is widely known for her commitment to helping patients in any way she can as well her ability to go above and beyond her job duties. Her coworkers describe Erica as “an owner, not a renter,” and that, “You can always count on her, even when everyone in the department is busy.”

She is widely known for two strong characteristics — respect and honesty. A coworker describes her as “always there to lend a hand. She is a ‘one-of-a kind’ great person.” Erica may have learned these valuable interpersonal skills and dedication in her early career in the retail business, both as a cashier and supervisor.

Upon learning that Erica was selected as Employee of the Year, Robyn Green, director of Environmental Services, responded by saying that Erica treats all individuals with respect, works to provide high quality service on a consistent basis, and always responds to patients and coworkers with a positive attitude.

DCMH congratulates Erica Walker on her outstanding achievement.
