Crozer-Keystone Health System earned first place in the recent “Best Practice Awards” presented by API Software, Inc. for implementation of API’s workforce management applications.
The award recognizes API customers that excel at using the company’s health care-specific workforce management applications to streamline processes, generate substantial costs savings and realize a tangible return on their technology investments. As part of the award, API made a $3,000 donation to Crozer-Keystone’s Foundations.
Crozer-Keystone was recognized for its use of API’s Payrollmation® time and attendance system to automate and standardize pay policies for its employees. Prior to the initial rollout of the system in 2005, the health system used manual time cards to track employee time and attendance.
“Implementing the API payroll system, and earning this award, was a team effort involving employees throughout the health system. I want to thank everyone for their cooperation and attention to detail,” says Hank Deal, director of Disbursements.
As of March 2008, the Payrollmation system has been implemented in all five of Crozer-Keystone’s hospitals.
“The API system has allowed Crozer-Keystone to standardize pay policies, translating to faster time card processing and more accurate payment for all employees,” says Phil Ryan, vice president of Finance. “Congratulations go to everyone involved in making this important transition. The initiative involved the collaboration of Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, and the support of the leadership at each of the hospital sites.”
Crozer-Keystone representatives received the award at API’s annual user’s group meeting in Milwaukee in August.
