What: Springfield Hospital celebrates the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art Emergency Department.

When: The official grand opening with ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday, October 30, at 5 p.m.
Details: Springfield Hospital’s new Emergency Department is three times the original size of the previous one and includes the latest technologies for emergency care. The department was designed to make patients’ experiences as comfortable and private as possible. Among the features of the new facility:
- Nine private patient rooms and two “express care” bays
- Separate entrances for walk-in and ambulance patients
- A spacious new waiting room and separate registration/triage areas
- Wireless bedside registration, digital radiology and state-of-the-art, fully integrated patient monitoring system.
This visual event is designed to give employees, community members and guests an opportunity to celebrate and view the new Springfield Hospital Emergency Department.
