Bottoms Up for Better Balance – This program will demonstrate the vital role the muscles of the pelvic girdle play in improving balance and walking, as well as correcting/preventing incontinence.  Participants will be instructed in simple exercises to enhance the function of these muscles and potentially reduce the incidence or severity of low back pain. Ensuring Your Child a Healthier Tomorrow – Provides parents an overview of the New Growth Screening Guidelines for Schools. Discussion of body mass index, encouraging healthful eating and activity habits, and what parents can do if their child is overweight. Exercise and Aging – Learn how exercise can improve the quality of your life as you age. Exploring MyPyramid with Professor Popcorn – A series of nutrition lessons, designed by Purdue University, for students grades 1-6. MyPyramid – Overview of MyPyramid, the updated food pyramid.  Based on the revised Dietary Guidelines for Americans, with practical tips for making small changes that can positively impact health.  Can be tailored to fit any age group, from youth to adult. Schools are Fighting Back – A presentation for school administrators and staff, parents, and interested community leaders. Discussion includes what schools can do to reduce childhood obesity by promoting positive eating and activity habits among students.
