Through the Fox Chase Crozer-Keystone Cancer Partnership, the physicians and staff of Fox Chase Cancer Center and Crozer-Keystone Health System work together on a range of clinical and research initiative.
Since the partnership began in 2004, patients treated within the Crozer-Keystone Health System have had broader access to new clinical trials and programs related to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Crozer-Keystone and Fox Chase physicians also work together to apply for grants for the study of treatment outcomes, prevention and education efforts, as well as cancer-related public health issues, and consult on difficult patient cases.
“Our partnership with Fox Chase Cancer Center will allow us to continue to expand on the commitment to our patients. With this association, we will be able to collaborate and share a variety of programs, thus enhancing the care of our patients and the patients at Fox-Chase,” says Joel Noumoff, M.D., chief of Gynecologic Oncology and OB/GYN at Crozer-Chester Medical Center as well as the hospital’s medical director for the Fox Chase partnership. “In addition to the research protocols available at Fox Chase, our patients will be able eligible to receive an even wider spectrum of treatment options than ever before.”
Fox Chase Cancer Center, an independent, nonprofit institution, was founded in 1904 as the nation’s first cancer hospital. In 1974, Fox Chase became one of the nation’s first comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute.
