Question: What questions should I ask my doctor at my routine checkup?

Answer:

In addition to questions regarding medical problems you may be experiencing, you should ask your primary care physician the following at your routine checkup:

1) Do I need any immunizations?

2) What screening tests do I need, based on the latest guidelines?

3) Are all my medications necessary?

4) Should I take any nutritional supplements?

5) Could we discuss my advance directive?

Remember to see your doctor annually-it can help him or her detect and manage any new problems or conditions that may have cropped up since your last visit.
