SPECIAL EVENTS

 

Help Fight Cancer at the 18th Annual Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run

 

If you like to walk or run, and are looking for a fun way to raise money for a good cause, then grab your sneakers and sign up for the 18th Annual Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run to Fight Cancer. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, the run starts at 10 a.m. and the walk at 10:01 a.m.

 

All proceeds benefit the Delaware County Regional Cancer Center at DCMH and aid in the fight against cancer. Everyone who pre-registers will receive an event T-shirt. To register for the race, send payment to Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run, Attention: Karen Doherty, 8045 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, or visit www.races2run.com. Cost to pre-register is $25 for adults, and $10 for children 15 and under and students ($30 for adults, and $20 for children 15 and under and students who register on race day). There will also be a health and wellness fair held from 9 a.m. to noon on race day with lots of health-related information, screenings, children’s activities, giveaways and refreshments.

 

To register as a team (from three to eight members with at least one female member), contact Jessica Casamento at (610) 447-6122 and indicate whether you are walking or running. Deadline to register is Sept. 22 (team registrations will not be accepted on the day of the race).
