Improved Diagnosis for Alzheimer's on the Horizon
It isn’t just “forgetfulness.” And it isn’t the source of “senior moments.” Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating neurological disorder that causes brain and nerve cells to die. Patients become confused, forgetful, and impaired emotionally, mentally and physically. And the condition only gets progressively worse over time. But hope for future generations is on the horizon, due to results from a recent report. The analysis tested the effectiveness of a new imaging study in diagnosing patients with Alzheimer’s.
