The Crozer Regional Cancer Center and Delaware County Regional Cancer Center, both part of the Fox Chase Crozer-Keystone Cancer Partnership, will host their Cancer Survivors Day celebrations on Thursday, June 1. The Crozer event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., while the DCMH event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The CKHS community as well as the public is invited to these free events, which annually attract hundreds of cancer survivors and their family members. Cancer Survivors Day is an annual celebration of life held in communities throughout North America. Participants unite in this symbolic event to honor the millions of people who are surviving their cancer diagnosis and who demonstrate that cancer survivors are active and productive members of society.
At both celebrations, physicians will talk about the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment, and local survivors will tell emotional and inspirational stories about their battle with cancer. In addition, at both events, awards will be presented to individuals and corporations who support Crozer-Keystone’s fight against cancer. Following the program, attendees can enjoy refreshments and speak with physicians at receptions inside the cancer centers.
For the third year, Crozer’s event is generously sponsored by AstraZeneca. AstraZeneca is a major international healthcare business engaged in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of prescription pharmaceuticals and the supply of health care services.
