Crozer-Keystone Celebrates another Successful Year of ‘Shape Up’

Over 270 Crozer-Keystone Wellness Works members on 39 teams enrolled in Shape Up PA, a 20-week team wellness program that ended on June 28. Throughout the program, Crozer-Keystone “Shape Up PA” teams worked hard to eat healthy and increase their overall activity. Although everyone who participated in Shape Up is a winner from a health and wellness perspective, Wellness Works recently recognized top teams:

The “biggest losers” in the weight-loss competition were the nine members of “Fat But Cute” led by Laurine Ucciferri in Patient Financial Services located on the Crozer campus. The team lost a total of 160 pounds — 7.8 percent of the team’s weight.

Joyce Foresman-Capuzzi and the “Fast Tracks” from the Taylor Emergency Room achieved first place in the activity competition. The 10-member team averaged 190 hours per person. They also lost 68 pounds — almost 4 percent of the team’s weight.

More than 58 percent of the 468 Delaware County participants in Shape Up PA were Wellness Works members. Wellness Works members were active for 15,797 hours, or 53 percent of the total hours accumulated by other Shape Up participants in the county. Wellness Works members also lost 1,039 pounds, or 51 percent of the total pounds lost by county participants.
