Crozer Physician Campaign Tops $1.3 Million

Crozer-Chester Medical Center’s campaign for a new Emergency Department recently reached a milestone with the physician component of the capital campaign.

Led by Susan L. Williams, M.D., director of Medical Education, and William J. Mannella, M.D., chairman of the Department of Surgery, the physician campaign is more than halfway toward its $2 million goal. To date, 33 gifts totaling $1,326,000 have been made by members of Crozer-Chester Medical Center’s medical/dental staff.

The physician component of the overall $10 million capital campaign is crucial to helping meet an $850,000 challenge grant awarded to this project earlier this year from The Kresge Foundation. Today, the campaign stands at just over $8 million, with $1.9 million left to be raised by Dec. 31, 2006 to receive the grant. The balance of the campaign funding is expected to be raised from physicians, community members and corporations.
