As a not-for-profit organization, Crozer-Keystone Health System regularly assesses our charges to ensure that they are competitive. The health system also strives to secure fair and reasonable rates from insurers.
Insured Patients
Payment for services provided is due at the time services are rendered. We will submit a claim for you to any third party or insurance carrier with whom we contract. Any fees not payable by the third party or insurance carrier are the patient's responsibility. Most major insurance providers are accepted. Call 1-866-5-CK-XRAY (1-866-525-9729) for details.
Insurance Pre-Certification
Most insurance companies require pre-certification of non-emergency services. This is the responsibility of the patient and their physician. Failure to obtain pre-certification could result in non-payment of the hospital bill by the insurance company. At the time of registration, patients are requested to assign insurance benefits to the hospital. Patients who wish to bill their own insurance or have not secured an authorization will be required to pay for these services during the registration process. Call 1-866-5CK-XRAY (1-866-525-9729) for pre-certification information.
Uninsured Patients
Uninsured patients are eligible to receive a prompt pay discount of up to 85 percent of charges if payment is made prior to service. Crozer-Keystone Health System accepts cash, check, credit cards and debit cards. The 85 percent discount does not apply to all services and does not include any physician fees. For price estimates, call 1-866-5CK-XRAY (1-866-525-9729). Due to the time and research required to provide estimates, we ask all callers to leave a message.
Should financial hardships prohibit acceptable payments or payment arrangements, financial counselors are available to assist you with our financial assistance program.
The health system has financial advisers who will work with patients and their families to help them determine if they are eligible for free care or for assistance under insurance programs. If they are not eligible for free care, they may be eligible for reduced fees for services provided by the hospital or a physician in our health network. The health system continually evaluates its policies for assisting low-income patients as well as monitor implementation of those policies.
