About Us

The Chester Youth Collaborative is dedicated to a strong Chester community in which all youth reach their full potential and transition successfully to adulthood. This vision is achieved through the fostering of a neighborhood-based youth development network that enhances the quality of opportunities for young people, between the ages of 12 to 22, in the city of Chester. 

 

Originally funded by a 3-year grant from the William Penn Foundation, the Chester Youth Collaborative works with community leaders, organizations, residents and the youth of Chester to develop specialized programs that meet their needs.

The Chester Youth Collaborative’s efforts are primarily aimed at improving the quality and duration of out-of-school youth programs within the city.

The Chester Youth Collaborative is comprised of five groups dedicated to implementing a neighborhood-based youth development system. The groups are:
