Answer printed in the next edition of The Bridge.

Last issue’s riddle:

Two men are arguing about whether a square open-topped water tank is half full or not. How can they decide without removing the water or using any measuring device?

Answer: By lifting the water tank onto its edge. If you cannot see the far edge, then the tank is more than half full. If you can just see the far edge then the tank is exactly half full. If you can see below the far edge then the tank is less than half full.
