So many youth within the city of Chester go about their daily lives without any recognition for their accomplishments. They are talented and gifted students searching for a way to express themselves in their community. The Chester Youth Collaborative has made it their goal to make this possible. Youth serving organizations throughout the city focus on how to make each child‘s role in the community one of importance and recognition. By doing this, they aid in promoting a stable future for youth like myself who are the leaders of tomorrow.
It is only fair to share the accomplishments of these students with the community that continues to pave their “road to success”. The feeling of Chester-Pride is rocketing as seen by the number of students continuing their education in schools, colleges and universities around the country. It is our hope that they bring their knowledge back to the community that raised them in order to help the village raise and nurture future generations.
There are many high achievers this year ranging from elementary school, high school and out-of-school youth. All are members of Chester Youth Collaborative youth serving organizations including but not limited to, Chester Youth Build, Chester Education Foundation (CEF), Freeman Cultural Arts/ The Nia Center Inc., Eastside Neighborhood Connection (ESNC), Majestic Drill Team & Flex Squad, The Achievement Project (TAP) and the Youth Development Peer Leader Program.
