The Youth Council is a panel of youth who collectively represent the “youth voice” within the Chester Youth Collaborative. Membership is open to all Chester youth between the ages of 12 to 22. The Youth Council’s purpose is to change the perspective of Chester youth and inspire youth action in their community.

The Youth Council also offers apprenticeships to youth who seek to enhance their knowledge in the field of youth development.

The Youth Council meets regularly to: 

• Plan and implement projects focused on social issues encountered by Chester youth 
• Partner with collaborative members to create programs and activities that directly address
  the concerns and interests of their peers
• Award mini-grants to youth groups in an effort to promote youth-led civic engagement projects

Chester Youth Collaborative Scholarship Fund Application

High school students who are in good standing and are interested in continuing their education in post-secondary 2- or 4-year colleges are invited to apply for the Chester Youth Collaborative scholarship.
