Wells College Bound Program

Employer Paid Summer Internships:

Chester Youth Collaborative is partnering with Philadelphia Youth Network to provide paid summer internships to Chester students between the ages of 16-21.  The program runs for 6 weeks (June – August). Proposed salary range $8.00+. Students are expected to participate in an application, resume, interviewing and ongoing training and technical assistance process to be eligible.  Students will be placed at area businesses and organizations according to their career interests. Delaware County Community College Student Success:

The Chester Youth Collaborative is partnering with Delaware County Community College (DCCC) to recruit 20 rising 9th & 10th grade students from the Chester area to participate in our 5 week Student Success Summer Program at DCCC. Students take a 3 credit college course and a non credit technology course. They are enrolled as DCCC students with the corresponding transcripts. Data shows that some participants have increased their reading and writing aptitude by as much as 2 levels at the end of the program. Wells College Bound Program:

The Chester Youth Collaborative has recently partnered with Wells Fargo to sponsor a new program specifically designed to promote higher education. The program offers mentoring, tutoring, career oriented workshops, and more to rising 9th grade Chester students. The program is in session from June – July.
