The Radiation Therapy Program at Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Delaware County
Community College
The School of Radiation Therapy offers an advanced-level, full-time program to train allied health professionals to work in direct patient care. Students will acquire skills to perform the therapeutic treatments that are indispensable to modern medicine.
The school is a consortium between Delaware County Community College and Crozer-Chester Medical Center. This joint affiliation combines clinical experience from one of Delaware County’s finest health care institutions with the academic excellence of Delaware County Community College, along with affordable tuition rates. The program is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The school’s curriculum combines classroom and clinical instruction at Delaware County Community College and clinical instruction at Crozer-Keystone Health System sites and other facilities in the area. Students gain a thorough understanding of new advances, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and Stereotatic Radiosurgery. Students also learn how to work independently, communicate with patients and colleagues, and exercise discretion when performing radiation therapy.
Upon completion of the program, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency from Delaware County Community College.
