We are extremely proud to share the extraordinary accomplishments of our nurses during 2007-08 in our first Crozer-Keystone Health System Nursing Annual Report.
This has been a watershed year for CKHS Nursing as we began our Journey to Nursing Excellence and Magnet Designation®. In many respects, our nurses already possess the attributes of Magnet as they influence practice, quality of care and professional development every day. Building on our commitment to shared governance we are seeing our culture change. This cultural shift is positive for every nurse and patient in our system as we benefit from the front line experience and expertise of our nursing staff.
In this report, we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Crozer-Keystone nurses. They are leaders of their profession who provide cutting edge care and advocacy for our patients while serving as educators for the nurses of tomorrow as well as their peers and the community. They advance the profession through research, publishing and the development of best practices.
Our nursing professionals bring unique gifts and talents to their work. Working collaboratively, they have truly demonstrated that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Thanks to their efforts, CKHS Nursing has made dramatic advancements during the past year. We are deeply grateful to each of our 1,950 nurses for their contributions. Their passion and commitment to our profession will ensure our continued success and leadership in the future.
Sincerely,
Nancy Bucher, RN, MSN, NEA-BC
