Healthplex® Sports Club wellness programs are designed to help you bridge the gap between your hospital-based outpatient treatment and your return to an independent exercise program.
Our programs are led by exercise specialists in consultation with other medical professionals. Wellness programs meet the requirements of the American College of Sports Medicine and are approved by the Healthplex® Medical Advisory Board.
To ensure that you can safely participate, we require a referral from your doctor or other health care provider before you begin. Your doctor will receive progress reports on a regular basis.

Active Living Every Day
Active Living Every Day is an innovative program designed to help people who are not accustomed to exercising get active as well as develop lifetime habits that will improve their overall health. Participants should gain the confidence to face the growing challenges of staying healthy, as well as have a better understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Active Living Every Day program combines weekly hour-long educational classes with the club’s wellness programs to produce a comprehensive, 20-week program. Each week, the educational classes cover a specific topic related to exercise, including:
-
Getting started
-
Overcoming barriers
-
Setting goals
-
Building confidence
-
Rewards
-
Stress management
-
Time management
Participants attend one of these classes with other Active Living participants each week. They also exercise up to three times weekly in one of the club’s wellness classes.
Active Living program leaders lead all sessions and help participants monitor their progress. Because participants go through the program as a group, they also benefit from the encouragement of others.
The program is open to anyone, men or women, over the age of 18. Participants do not have to be members of the Healthplex® Sports Club. A physician referral is not necessary. For more information, click here.
