Crozer Regional Cancer Center Comprehensive Lung Cancer Program
Crozer-Chester Medical Center is taking on lung cancer with a new program at the Crozer Regional Cancer Center. The physicians and cancer care specialists at the Cancer Center have a tough opponent. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women in the U.S., causing more deaths than the next three most common types of cancer (colon, breast and prostate) combined.
The physicians and specialists at Crozer's comprehensive lung cancer program includes services for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and support of people diagnosed with lung cancer. The program also includes research via clinical trials, when deemed appropriate.
“We have worked long and hard to put together a program that establishes the Crozer Regional Cancer Center as a complete resource for lung cancer care. We want those in our community to know that no matter what their concern is related to lung cancer, we are your resource,” says Raymond J. Vivacqua, M.D., medical director of the Crozer Regional Cancer Center and chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
