Which hospitals are involved in this alliance?

The participating hospitals are Temple University Hospital and Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Temple University Hospital is one of the Delaware Valley’s premier academic medical centers. Temple provides advanced healthcare to more than 28,000 inpatients and 150,000 outpatients each year. With nationally respected programs in cardiology and cardiac surgery, pulmonary medicine, orthopedics and sports medicine, neurosciences, gastroenterology, oncology and kidney disease, Temple provides an environment for superior patient care, teaching and research.

Temple University Hospital physicians are associated with the Temple University School of Medicine. Their teaching, research and clinical activities, in addition to Temple’s sophisticated facilities and equipment, result in innovative treatment for a variety of diseases. Temple physicians regularly offer their patients treatment options that are not available at most hospitals.

Crozer-Chester Medical Center is a 388-bed not-for-profit, tertiary care teaching hospital. The largest facility in the five-hospital Crozer-Keystone Health System, the medical center admits nearly 20,000 patients, treats approximately 46,000 emergency department patients, and delivers about 2,000 babies a year.

Crozer’s featured services include the nationally recognized Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center; the Crozer Regional Trauma Center; the Crozer Regional Cancer Center, affiliated with Fox Chase Cancer Center; advanced cardiac services, including open-heart surgery; the Crozer-Keystone Human Motion Institute and the Joint/Spine Unit for the care of musculoskeletal patients; adult and pediatric surgery; obstetrical services, including a Level III Intensive Care Nursery; medical imaging services; cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation; an inpatient pediatrics unit; an Acute Care of Elderly Unit; the Interventional Pain Management Center; and the Crozer Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility Center.

As a teaching hospital, Crozer is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and has a longstanding relationship with TUH.
