When the Pain Won’t Stop
For people living with chronic pain, daily life can be a challenge. Even more challenging is finding a specialist to treat your condition. That is why Crozer-Chester Medical Center opened the doors to the health system’s first Interventional Pain Management Center.
Our goal is to dramatically reduce a patient’s pain, while increasing their independence and reducing restrictions to daily living. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the Interventional Pain Management Center cares for patients with chronic pain, specifically those suffering from back problems and neuropathic pain syndromes. The team of board-certified/fellowship-trained pain management specialists provides each patient with a comprehensive evaluation and recommendations regarding diagnosis and treatment.
Who Can Benefit From the Interventional Pain Management Center?
If a patient is not responding to conventional treatments such as heat/ice, rest or anti-inflammatory medications they should schedule an evaluation. An earlier diagnosis allows more effective treatment that may prevent a patient from developing a chronic problem, permanent disability, depression or drug dependency. It is also important to consider interventional techniques for patients who have difficulty taking medications due to side effects or escalating costs.
The Interventional Pain Management Center helps patients who are referred by their doctors and who suffer from spinal pain as well as many other types of pain caused by:
