When asked to name their most common health concern, the majority of women answer, "breast disease," namely, cancer. Although most breast concerns do not turn out to be cancer, women want to place their trust in a professional team who is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of breast disease.
The Center for Breast Health at Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is dedicated to the detection and timely treatment of breast disease and breast cancer.
Led by Director Thomas Matulewski, M.D., a board-certified breast surgeon, the Center for Breast Health is a unique place created especially for women to be treated by experienced, caring staff who understand what you are going through.
The Center for Breast Health, located on the first floor of DCMH's Medical Office Building in Drexel Hill, PA, provides state-of-the-art care for women with breast problems in a respectful, thorough, thoughtful and calm manner.
We offer the following comprehensive services:

Evaluation of all types of breast concerns by a breast specialist with coordination of care

Patient education, screening and counseling

Genetic counseling for those who may be at risk for developing cancer

Stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, cyst aspirations and fine-needle aspiration biopsies.
The Woman's Diagnostic Center, located steps away on the lower level of the Medical Office Building, performs diagnostic tests, such as screening and diagnostic digital mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI.
Most breast problems are not cause for alarm. However, when a woman finds a lump or has an abnormal mammogram, she wants to be seen by a specialist right away. At The Center for Breast Health at DCMH, we will provide you with quick access to our services and specialists.
Patients diagnosed with breast cancer have easy access to on-site state-of-the-art radiation therapy services and medical oncology services provided by physicians specially trained in the treatment of breast cancer. The breast surgeon works closely with these physicians to provide a personalized plan of care.
DCMH has access to cancer treatment and prevention clinical trials through its partnership with Fox Chase Cancer Center.
