Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
This specialized unit within Delaware County Memorial Hospital serves a population of individuals with various orthopedic, neurological, and medical problems that have resulted in impaired functional abilities. Under the medical direction of a board-certified physiatrist (a doctor who specializes in Rehabilitative Medicine), patients receive three hours of therapy daily as well as specialized nursing care around-the-clock. Comprehensive treatment plans are developed by the team of caregivers designed to help each patient return to the highest level of functional ability possible. Patients are accepted from within DCMH or from out of house.
