EMS Fire Chief Cris Hansen Laid to Rest

Cris Hansen, 47, former EMS Chief of station 102 and EMS Community Liaison for CKHS, was laid to rest with full Fire Department honors on June 14, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Cris had been an employee since 1985 and was also the Fire Chief of the Swarthmore Fire & Protective Assn. for many years. Before his illness forced him out of 911 duty in 2007, Chief Hansen had also helped out by pulling shifts here at 106. Cris was a good friend to many of us in Delaware County and will be sorely missed.
