Springfield Hospital celebrated the official opening of the new emergency department October 30 with a ribbon cutting and open house celebration.
Springfield Hospital’s new Emergency Department is three times the original size of the previous one and includes the latest technologies for emergency care. The department was designed to make patients’ experiences as comfortable and private as possible. Among the features of the new facility:
- Nine private patient rooms and two “express care” bays
- Separate entrances for walk-in and ambulance patients
- A spacious new waiting room and separate registration/triage areas
- Wireless bedside registration, digital radiology and state-of-the-art, fully integrated patient monitoring system.
